Weddings & Fire Trucks

A couple in our church is getting married this weekend. It’s always fun when it’s not just church members but true friends. We’ve enjoyed getting to be a small part of the preparations. 

But, that’s not exactly what this post is about. Yesterday afternoon we went to the community center to see the decorations (which are GORGEOUS!). The fire station shares a building with the community center, and the chief of the volunteer fire dept just so happens to be the bride’s father. And he was naturally there when we went to see décor.

I was chatting with some of the ladies and looked up to find that the rest of my family had disappeared. It shouldn’t have come as any surprise to find them out looking over the fire truck and equipment with Mr. Jimmy!

Yep, small towns are nice.
